
George Szirtes
George Szirtes was born in Budapest and came to England as a refugee in 1956. His poetry has been widely published in magazines and books. He is a translator of poems, novels, plays and essays and has won various prizes and awards in this sphere. George’s children’s collection The Red All Over Riddle Book was published in 1997 and his more recent collection In the Land of the Giants won the 2013 CLPE Poetry Award.
