Written in response to: Varjak Paw by SF Said.

Nightmare realm

City pavement.
Wet, clammy and cold
Thick, brick walls reared
Up before him.

Alone he’d been before
Even the moon and stars were far away.
The sky was clear after the storm.

How was he going to find his way back?
Varjak stepped on to the
The night was full of strange sounds.

Stand your ground

Dazzling eyes
Deadly dog
Foul breath

Stand your ground

Roaring engine
Frightening teeth
Piercing screech

Stand your ground
Stand your ground.
