There's Going To Be a Baby

In the only collaboration between two well-loved author/illustrators, a child and his mother speculate about the future life of his yet unborn sibling. For the mother, the places they go together spark ideas of what the new child’s career might be. In a contrasting style, the soon-to-be big brother imagines the child, still a baby, being a doctor or working in a bank or a park in humorous comic strip pointillist illustrations in a palette principally of yellow and blue. A young child’s anxieties are presented in a comforting way amidst illustrations full of intertextual artistic references.
