Reflecting Realities: British Values in Children’s Literature Conference
British Values in Children’s Literature 1 March 2017. This conference is now past.
This timely and important conference will consider the role that children’s literature has to play in helping us make sense of the world around us and our place within it. Delegates will explore why we need to ensure that children from all backgrounds and experiences are represented in the books they encounter. "It’s not merely the ability to read that matters. It’s how and what and why we read. Literature allows us to lock minds with other people from every age and background, helping us understand not just what they think, but how they feel."
