Planning a Text Based Curriculum in Years 3 and 4 - Webinar

Price:
£10.00
18/06/2020 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

This webinar will investigate what a text based unit looks like in practice in a Year 3/4 classroom.

Our expert teaching team will share how these units can be used to increase children’s knowledge about reading and writing, including contextualised opportunities for spelling and grammar, the use of language for effect on a reader and how to use language for different purposes and forms of writing, and thereby raising engagement and attainment in reading and writing.

We will also look at how such units can work together to provide a rich and comprehensive curriculum that enables progress and attainment, building on learning from Key Stage 1 to work towards greater depth at the end of Key Stage 2.

This webinar will be delivered by our Learning Programme Leaders Farrah Serroukh and Charlotte Hacking.

This webinar will focus around the high-quality Year 3 and 4 text, The King Who Banned the Dark by Emily Haworth-Booth (Pavilion)

Please note, schools can book a maximum of two places on this webinar.
