At our one day conference delegates:

  • Developed subject knowledge in key areas of literacy teaching
  • Explored recent research and best practice for effective literacy teaching 
  • Discovered resources and books that will support literacy teaching
  • Shaped vision for literacy from Early Years to Year 6

Delegates participated in 2 practical workshops focused on translating vision into effective practice.  

  • Best Practice in Literacy: Early Years, KS1, and KS2 (delegates will explore a host of practical ideas and leave with a teaching sequence for their year group)
  • The Role of Rhyme and Song in Literacy Development
  • Phonics in a Rich Reading Curriculum
  • Spelling in a Rich Reading Curriculum
  • Grammar and Vocabulary in a Rich Reading Curriculum
