and didn’t eat lunch

and I almost got arrested

in a big red car.
I said yeah yeah yeah
I wanna be a star.

Poem

We're floating into the blue,
Me and my blue balloon.
Over the rooftops of the town,
The brown fields and the trees
And the Downs – we're floating,

My name is inside
and all over me, unseen
like other people also keep it.
Isn't my name magical?

Little toad little toad mind yourself
mind yourself let me plant my corn
plant my corn to feed my horse
feed my horse to run my race – the sea is full of more than I know

Give The Ball to the Poet
Poem

She kept wicket for her brothers,
They batted,
Bowled,
Padded up
And ratcheted up the score.
She crouched behind the stumps

Let me do it, let me do it
Let me blow up the balloon
Let me do it, let me do it
Let me go to the moon

Poem

A little bit of rice,
a little bit of pea,
on my plate
for my tea.

A little bit of jam,
a little bit of toast,
in the mornings
when I love it most.

Poem

Look at the train
Look at the train
Look at the train,
the train, the train!

Rattling by
Clackety-clack
at the back of the houses
up on the track.
