Now the day is over,
you're lying in your bed
and cares are spinning endlessly
around your weary head.

We turn our faces up and jiggle thirty toes,
Morse-coding longing with our restless beat.
When will it come?
Shepherds on the first Nativity, we scan the skies
and huddle,

I keep it up my sleeve
it's great for surfing on the spot
and playing make believe.
It's sleek and snug and mine to hug
