Written in response to: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.

Edward’s first true love

Protected and cared for
Learning love while travelling nowhere
A true bond
Son and father
Affection, unseen happiness between them
Wrapped warmly in a bedroll
Carried on his back
Forever friends, glad
Thinking it’s a dream
Seeing such sorrow in
His eyes and voice
Love

The caring duo

Lost, loving, cheerful,
Happy to be rescued,
Both have no home,
The caring duo,
Fond friends, family.
Bull is Edward’s hero,
Protection is in their hands,
The caring duo,
Caring, joyful, heavenly,
A loving nature,
Swimming in each other’s hearts,
The caring duo.
