Written in response to: A Boy and a Bear in a Boat by Dave Shelton
The sea is a prison and I'm locked inside.
The sun is beaming down on me; I need some where to hide.
Into the water my wooden oar goes,
It's so cold, unbearable for my toes!
The steady casual rhythm rocks me to sleep,
I need to get home I'm starting to weep.
The waves are crazy splash, splash, splash,
As soon as I climb aboard.
We left in a flash.
Listen to this tale of a boy and a bear in a boat, as I'm writing this, I'm still afloat…
