John Lyons

John Lyons, winner of the WindRush Arts Achiever Award and Peterloo Poetry Prize, was born in Trinidad and educated as an artist and art educator in the UK. He is co-founder and director of Hourglass Studio Gallery, promoting the visual arts and creative writing in the community. John has published several poetry collections and a cookery book Cook-Up in a Trini Kitchen. Dancing in the Rain is his first poetry collection for children.

His collection Dancing in the Rain was shortlisted for the 2016 CLiPPA award.
