Paul B. Janeczko

Paul B. Janeczko was an American poet and teacher who edited numerous award-winning poetry anthologies for young people. He published 40 books beginning in the 1980s, including poetry compilations, non-fiction guides for young writers, and books for teachers, including A Poke in the I, A Kick in the Head and A Foot in the Mouth, all of which were illustrated by Chris Raschka, as well as Firefly July, illustrated by Melissa Sweet. He died on 19 February 2019. His book The Proper Way to Meet a Hedgehog and Other How-To Poems, illustrated by Richard Jones , which he compiled was shortlisted for the CLiPPA 2020.
