Manjeet Mann

Manjeet is an actress, playwright, screenwriter and director. She has worked as an associate artist with The Birmingham Repertory Theatre, the Soho Writers Lab and Kali Theatre's writers lab. Manjeet is also the founder of Run The World - an organization that works with women and girls from marginalized backgrounds and helps to empower them through sport and storytelling.

Her first verse novel Run Rebel, a compelling and emotive verse novel about a young girl defining her place in the world, was shortlisted for the CLiPPA 2021 and won the 2021 Carnegie Shadowers' Choice Award and the UKLA Book Award. Her second verse novel, The Crossing, is a profound story of hope, grief, and the very real tragedies of the refugee crisis and has been shortlisted for the CLiPPA 2022.
