My Sister’s Legs

There are two things I hate about Ana.

Number 1: Her left leg.

Number 2: Her right leg.

When only her head pokes out from the duvet

she’s much more likeable.

When she rides on Mum’s back like a rucksack

I want to be her friends again.

When she broke her ankle and had to use crutches

I was secretly happy she couldn’t walk.

When I wrote on her plaster cast, Get well soon

I lied.
