Announcing our new Reflecting Realities blog series!

Following the launch of our widely anticipated Reflecting Realities Survey 2019: Ethnic Representation in UK Children's Literature 2018, funded by Arts Council England, we are delighted to announce our brand new Reflecting Realities Blog Series. The blogs, inspired by the findings from this year's report, aim to recognise and celebrate the tireless advocacy of authors, publishers, researchers and individuals working in the field of inclusivity and ethnic representation in children's literature. They put a spotlight on those demonstrating a commitment to Reflecting Realities and will offer a chance for our supporters and teachers to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in inclusive children's publishing since the report's release.

The series kicks off with author, Anna McQuinn who shares her background as a writer and her motivations to set up inclusive the publishing house, AlannaMax. Read it here.

Following on from this is Letterbox Library's Fen Coles, who explores how the two reports have provided a new lexicon and real evidence to help support Letterbox's mission in supplying schools and educators with books to represent the world community in all its diversity.

More will follow throughout the year.
