Supporting You to Access High Quality CPD in the Current Climate

We know from our interactions with schools and teachers that access to high quality CPD is being hampered by the strain on school budgets in the current climate.

As the leading subject association for primary literacy, we want to be able to help schools when they need it most, in line with our charitable purpose. Particularly when, following the publication of the latest subject report from Ofsted, we know that CPD to build teacher's professional knowledge about English literature and language is needed, as highlighted in our recent blog

All of our training courses support teachers in developing all aspects of reading and writing, using a rich range of high-quality texts and teaching approaches to develop language, build fluency and comprehension, and to support children to craft writing from the earliest stages through to their transition to secondary education.

Every course provides each participant with subject knowledge and approaches based on credible research and the principles of effective continuing professional development, along with a high-quality book and associated planning which teachers can immediately implement in their classrooms, reducing teacher workload and providing extensive exemplification of quality literacy practice.

This summer, to support you in providing CPD for your teachers ahead of the new academic year, we are giving State Funded Schools 30% off any courses in our face-to-face training programme. This includes the following courses:
