The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by A. Wolf
History is always open to interpretation, depending on whose point of view is being put forward. The wolf from the well-known traditional tale insists that he only went to visit the three pigs to borrow a cup of sugar and sneezed because he had a cold which brought down their houses and killed them ‘dead as a doornail’. The story is told in the style of an American crime novel and the whole concept, in terms of both text and illustrations, yields many unexpected pleasures.
