Snow White in New York

One of today’s most accomplished illustrators has taken one of the best-known fairy tales and given it a startlingly updated setting in the ‘Big Apple’ of the 1920s, except that in this case the poisoned fruit is a cherry. The text is straightforward in style at the same time as being sophisticated in meaning, which gives it appeal for older readers.
