Poems to Perform

A careful selection of poems both familiar and new, edited by the former Children's Laureate, that lend themselves to being performed in a range of collaborative ways  – by two voices, by groups or by a whole class. Progress through the book is subtly themed: gliding through poems about school, football, food and many other matters. Succinct suggestions for how they could be presented both verbally and dramatically are listed at the back, leaving plenty of scope for teachers and pupils to make their interpretations.
