Once Upon a Raindrop

James Carter’s poetic narrative explores the story of water. He begins by pondering its origins in time and space, goes on to relate its movement through the water cycle and describes how essential it is to our survival. The words are integrated within Nomoco’s aquatic illustrations painted predominantly in blue, whether they meander alongside a river or splodge across the page as raindrops plop onto a watery surface.
