Jabari Tries

Jabari is going to the swimming pool with his dad and little sister. He has decided that today he will jump from the diving board for the first time. When he starts to climb the ladder, though, he begins to wonder if it is such a good idea. With gentle encouragement from his dad, Jabari joyfully achieves his aim and discovers a new ambition. The illustrations work in tandem with the text to chart Jabari’s inner and outer journeys.
