The Boy Who Lost His Bumble
A boy tends his garden lovingly but what he cares about most are the bees. When they disappear, he is devastated and wonders if they will ever return. The seasons change and Spring arrives, depicted subtly and graphically by four stages of growth of a plant in a pot, the bees return and the boy’s happiness is restored. Information at the end of the story explains where bees go in the winter and also how their continued existence is endangered and how humans can help to prevent this happening.
