Ann Lazim - Library and Literature Development Manager

Ann has been a Librarian for 40 years, advising teachers, parents and publishers about children’s books. She has an MA in Children’s Literature and a long standing interest in and knowledge of international children’s literature, developed through her work at CLPE and with IBBY, the International Board on Books for Young People. Ann has written articles for The School Librarian and Back to School magazines. Her most recent article is Ten of the Best Books about the Moon  in Books for Keeps, July 2019.  Her research interests in the field of children's literature are the images of Arabs in children's fiction and the representation of the women's suffrage movement in children's books. Ann is fascinated by folk and fairy tales and her favourite part of the CLPE library is our huge collection of traditional stories. Twitter: @annlazim
