The World in My Kitchen
An enticing and well-organised global recipe book. Each continent is represented by two or three countries and there are clear instructions accompanied by photographs for several recipes from each of those countries. The emphasis is on children being able to cook independently and the text is addressed to them, although there is an indication when adult help is likely to be needed. Interspersed throughout the book are factual pages about a variety of foods: rice, spices and seeds, fish, fruit, herbs and cocoa. There is brief additional information about the countries from which the recipes come including the name of the dish in the relevant language.
