A Kind of Spark
Addie is given a hard time at school by many of the other pupils and by one teacher in particular. Addie is autistic, has a supportive family, a clear sense of her own identity and is alert to injustice. When she discovers what happened to women in her community who were believed to be witches in a bygone age, she is determined that a memorial will be made to recognise this. A novel which encourages empathy and challenges perceptions by a debut author who is herself neurodivergent.
