The Bee Who Spoke

Author: Al MacCuish
Illustrator: Rebecca Gibbon
Publisher: Thames & Hudson

Parisian Belle holidays with her family in the countryside, which she explores on the bicycle that belonged to her mother when she was a girl. Following a minor accident, she feels lost as she realises that she doesn’t know the countryside the way she does her home in the city. She is rescued by a talking bee. The two share a remarkable adventure discovering the plants and animals that surround them, and Belle is amazed to learn just how nature works in harmony, whether in the countryside or the city.
