Read our Impact Report to find out what we’ve been up to in 2017-2018

We are delighted to announce the publication of our Impact Report 2017-2018. The report summarises the impact the CLPE has had this year on schools, teachers and over 5 million primary children across the country. It gives an up-to-date insight into our key areas of work including training, resource creation and research, and showcases both the scale and the scope of our ethos - of putting quality children’s books at the heart of all learning across the UK.

This year has been a landmark year for the CLPE, and the report features a focus on the refurbishment of our Literacy Library after a highly successful Crowdfunder campaign; the headlining Reflecting Realities report and our dedication to being a Centre of Excellence for the Future.

Key figures at a glance:

  • A total of 2,918 primary school staff were trained on our programmes
  • This covered 1,729 schools across England
  • Our flagship school literacy training programme, Power Of Reading, has raised achievement in over 4000 schools
  • 100% of teachers said they would recommend our long or short courses to others
