“This is a book about creating an environment for reading in your classroom that supports children to become engaged and successful readers. Our hope is that it will help you to have a picture of the whole reading process and that you will have ideas about how to implement what you have learnt in your classroom.” - Introduction, CEO Louise Johns-Shepherd
The Power of a Rich Reading Classroom joins a heritage of CLPE publications including Boys on the Margins (2005), The Reader in the Writer (2001) and Understanding Spelling (2000). It features a special Foreword by academic and CLPE Patron Aidan Chambers, whom the CLPE thanks for his contribution.
