Future Chartered College Twilight events coming up (full details yet to be confirmed):

1 May The Power of Pictures: Changing practice through research

27 June The Reader in the Writer: Linking literature and writing development across the primary years

This follows three sold-out events:

Our event on 29 January focused on research and best practice in the teaching of early literacy - Developing Early Literacy.

Reflecting Realities: Research into practice (6 December 2018 ) on our Reflecting Realities Report published earlier in 2018 and explored how this ground breaking project has contributed towards refining the public discourse regarding representation in UK children’s publishing;

Exploring the Power of a Rich Reading Classroom  (13 November 2018) where we shared the latest revised edition of our publication Reading for Pleasure What we Know Works and featured award winning writer and passionate children’s literature advocate SF Said.

These events complement our highly effective primary literacy training which is proven to raise standards. We know that budgets are tight so we've reduced the price of our longer courses and held the costs of all other training. We are a charity so we don't make a profit – we invest everything back into creating quality resources that support literacy in schools. Browse our 2018 course brochure using the links on the left

Take a look at our teacher blog from Anna Beresford, Assistant Headteacher, Whitehill Junior School on why she believes CLPE training is so successful.

"CLPE training has given me the time to reflect, meet other colleagues and develop my priorities. My confidence and expertise have improved and the emphasis on evidence-based approaches has invaluable." - CLPE Course Attendee, 2018
