Jonny Rodgers - Primary Advisory Teacher

Jonny is an experienced teacher and senior leader, who has taught across the primary age range and held a number of leadership roles including Literacy, MFL - for which he was a county-wide lead teacher – Computing and Headship. Before joining the teaching profession he worked in academia, his background in Linguistics offering insights into how language is acquired, produced and perceived by children and adults. The books that made him a reader were Kipling’s Just So Stories read by his primary school headmistress, Spike Milligan’s Silly Verse for Kids, John Burningham’s picture books, David McKee’s Mr Benn, and The Sagas of Noggin the Nog by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin.
